King of the Jungle

Hey y'all! Sorry for the lack of posts, things have been a little hectic here as of late... But anyways, I just wanted to post a picture of my first serious painting project. There will probably be quite a few more of these posts hopefully before next fall. I know it's silly, but I've already gotten a jump on crafting for my wonderful Little even though I won't even meet her until next fall!
I know it's a very popular saying in my chapter at least, but I just thought it was super cute and couldn't help continuing the trend! So here's to you, littleface!

Gifts for the Fratdaddy

Christmas time... A time filled with frantic shopping and wondering what you should get the special someone in your life. I know I always have trouble deciding on that perfect thing so I figured I'd make up a list of ideas to help out any other lady faced with this problem. I'll probably work on a post tomorrow for gift ideas he could get you. Maybe if you leave this blog open on his laptop he'll get the message.

For the traditional fratdaddy you've been dating for a while, get him a "beauquet."

It's a perfect mix of all his favorite things. Cigars and whiskey, could he ask for a better combination? And this combination doesn't have to be purchased all together. Any crafty or not so crafty lady can gather together a collection of his favorite things and put it all together in a nice basket. Just add the perfect Christmas bow, tied by your own hands or bought he doesn't have to know, and it's ready.

I couldn't help but include these.

I think they're the cutest thing! And super easy to put together. I think this would be a great gift for the guy you may have only been dating for a little while.

This is part of  the route I went this year. You can never go wrong with Polo.

I love their sweaters of any type. They're warm and soft and fashionable! This looks so much nicer than some oversize, warn out hoodie from high school. And if your guy isn't into sweaters, go for a classic button down or collared polo. They look great and put together on anyone. Just please keep them away from the cargo shorts!

For the guys in my life the standard is: If you can't tie a bow tie, you don't stand a chance.

Southern Proper sells the perfect fratty bow ties for any gent as well as ties for those who aren't a fan. They have a great selection of patterns for anyone's taste. I may have to snatch up a 'cotton pickin' gent' for my fratdaddy this Christmas.

Another great wardrobe pick for northern gents is a cozy jacket.

If a sweater just isn't enough for those chilly winter nights and you aren't around to keep him warm, a Mountain Hardwear Monkey jacket is a perfect new addition. These jackets are super soft and so much warmer than the overdone North Faces.

Maybe for the more gadget-loving beaux in your life, this cute little iPhone bottle opener is a cute stocking stuffer.

I know it's not for everyone, but I couldn't help include it. It's just too cute not to. And hey, it can definitely come in handy if you wanted to get him those reindeer Guinness we previously discussed.

Another great stocking stuffer is his favorite book or a book by his favorite author.

Mine just happens to love Hemingway, but a nice book is never a wrong gift choice for the intelligent gent. He'll appreciate it if you put thought into your selection and chose something you know he'll enjoy.

And for those that would rather play video games than read, the ever popular CoD is a good choice if you're okay with not seeing him for days on end.

I know mine was in line for the midnight release, but I'll forgive him for it. And if this isn't the game for him, I'm sure he wouldn't mind telling you all about his favorite game or one that he has his eye on.

And last but certainly not least, bake for him!

We all know that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, and we all know that every belle knows how to bake or at least has a sister somewhere that's handy with a spatula. So bake for him! Cookies, cupcakes, actual cakes. It doesn't matter as long as it's tasty and adorable. It shows him that you care enough to spend the time hand creating 60 perfect gingerbread men and that you know your way around a kitchen. (Insert kitchen joke here, haha.) Whichever sweet treat route you take, he's sure to love it.

So there's my list for now. It's not the longest, but I hope some of you fellow belles got some ideas from all of this. Let me know in the comments what ya think or any suggestions! I hope y'all all have a Merry Fratty Christmas!

Short an' Sweet

Hey y'all!
Just wanted to say hi. I'm new at this whole blog thing, so please bare with me while I get the hang of things. I plan on starting off pretty strong with this blog since I'm on winter break and have nothing to do for five more weeks until I return to God's Country and seeking a degree in the ever so popular MRS. Posts will definitely start off being random more than likely pertaining to Christmas gifts and my love of make up and baking. There also may be a few about crafts due to my obsession with pinterest and being affiliated with one of the best Greek communities in the SEC. Mod podge seems to flow through us sorostitutes veins, haha. So sit back, pour yourself a drink and get ready for glitter, greeks, and good times!

XOXO,
The Blonde Belle
